In the first new Ignatz comic of 2006, acclaimed rising talent Marco Corona features the life of a woman called Miranda. Flashing back to her days as a child, she visits her sickly twin brother Riccardo at the seaside hospital with her wise and knowing Gramma, reflecting on and dreaming about her relationship with her loopy mother. The second issue completely abandons Miranda (for now) and plunges into Riccardo's pirate fantasy. Not only do you get all the swashbuckling you could possibly want (beautifully delineated by Italian cartoonist Marco Corona), but after a black and white first installment, Reflections #2 explodes into lush duotone watercolor like its fellow Ignatz titles!
